Circle Review (Film, 2015) The Archives

In Circle, a random selection of 50 strangers are forced to compete in a deadly game. They wake up, standing, on a game board filled with circles and arrows. If they step off their circle, they’re killed by the glowing black ooze in the center of the room. Every two minutes, a drumbeat picks up and one of the strangers is killed. The contestants must figure out the rules of the game if they have any hope of escaping alive.

Elizabeth Harvest Review (Film, 2018)

Elizabeth Harvest is an ultra-modern sci-fi/horror about what’s hidden in a state of the art house. Elizabeth marries Harry, an incredibly intelligent and successful man. She moves into his beautiful, state of the art mansion with everything she could ever want. There is only one rule: Elizabeth can never go into the one room in the basement. That is only for Harry. Everything else she could ever want or need is provided for her without question.

The Thaw Review (Film, 2009) The Archives

The Thaw is a global warming-tinged spin on The Thing. A group of students are invited up to an Arctic research center to study the effect of the melting icecaps on native polar bear populations. They discover an abandoned laboratory with no power and a quickly rotting polar bear corpse inside. Soon people start getting attacked by insects and releasing viscous sludge out of their mouths.

1BR Review (Film, 2020)

1BR is apartment complex Gothic. This is the natural modern extension of the traditional Gothic. Instead of a sprawling mansion with hidden doors, the setting is a home separated from the larger house, able to hear everything that happens but never truly know what’s going on. Your neighbors can be the nicest people in the world and you’ll never know all their secrets.
