Courtesy of The Mary Sue, award-winning genre writer John Scalzi has announced he will not attend conventions that do not have a clear sexual harassment policy. From my own experience, if stating "hey guys, let's not grope anyone this weekend" is not a priority, the con doesn't care about the fans paying to go. I learned that the hard way recently (cough AnimeNEXT cough). But cons that do have a clear sexual harassment policy tend to be really great.
