My Books So Far and Where to Buy Them
I wanted to do a quick run down of the books I have available to purchase right now on various platforms.
As always, the best way to support me is to purchase directly from my Ko-fi. These digital files come directly from me with no intermediary based on the contract I have with Ko-fi. They do not take a percentage of my sales through that shop.
First up is my original short story collection Take Out & Other Stories. This collection of weird fiction takes perfectly mundane scenarios like a day at the beach or visiting the library and turns them on their head with dark and fantastical twists. The new 2021 edition features maps for each story, because every good fantasy-adjacent book deserves maps. Also available as an audiobook or audiobook/eBook bundle.
Second is my massive horror media criticism collection #31Days: A Collection of Horror Essays, Vol. 1. This features over 65 original essays adapted and expanded from my annual #31DaysofHorror challenge at Sketching Details. It also includes my collected series of essays on each episode of the Showtime original series Masters of Horror and recommendations for further viewing if any of the films or TV episodes featured in the collection interest you. Also available as an audiobook or audiobook/eBook bundle.
Third is my original short musical Tick. This is an alternative/industrial adaptation of “The Tell-Tale Heart,” featuring a narrator who promises you can trust them. I think they have trusting eyes, but their former boss might not agree. This short horror musical is designed for two performers and can be ordered with the libretto, demo recording, backing tracks, or a bundle. E-mail me at editor@sketchingdetails.com for licensing inquiries. This is available for in person and digital performancaes and casting and presentation are flexible.
Fourth are my quarterly journals. These collect newly revised and expanded version of my favorite essays on Sketching Details. SD Media Digest vol. 1 & vol. 2 are out now for free.
Fifth, you can find a variety of short stories on my Amazon page.
Like I said, you can expect some new projects launching this fall that I’m very excited about.
