Watch: Bumps Gonna Goose Ya! feat. Jack Black #31DaysofHorror

I don't have high hopes for the new Goosebumps film. I like the property (I grew up reading the original series, plus all of Fear Street). I think Jack Black will be great in this R.L. Stine role. My concerns all come from trying to include too much in one story. I get the approach they're going for, but don't see why seemingly every single villain ever in the history of Goosebumps needs to appear. We'll see.

The film comes out next week and Jack Black is hitting the YouTube circuit for promotion. Nerdist clearly wins with another hilarious music video inspired by Goosebumps.

This time around, we're traveling back in time to the late 80s/early 90s, where popular rappers got hired to write cheesy songs inspired by the plot of family movies. Think MC Hammer's "Addams Family Groove" or Vanilla Ice's "Ninja Rap."

Jack Black's not rapping. He's just singing the hook. Malik Forte raps as MF Bumps and he's clearly feeling the MC Hammer fantasy.

"Bumps Gonna Goose Ya" is the best kind of intentionally bad rap song. It is catchy. It's just so cheesy that you can't stand it. It's also super spoopy for Halloween and name checks a whole bunch of Goosebumps titles and characters.
