Welcome to Fanhouse
I’m all for trying out new ways of creating content online. I think Fanhouse has a lot of potential for creators, myself included.
Fanhouse is a new safe for work social media platform that’s allowing creators to explore other content. You create an account that features a public and a private wall. Anyone can access the public wall, but the private wall requires a subscription. This could be to show off works in progress, talk about your daily life, share photos, or just have fun.
For me, Fanhouse is an opportunity to interact with my followers outside of the context of media criticism and media creation. I’m posting everyday with photos on the private wall to discuss my own life. I write daily check-ins about my mental wellness, chronic pain, and everyday tasks. I celebrate the smaller achievements in my life and brainstorm some of the bigger ideas moving forward. I even go into some behind the scenes about how different articles and projects are actually coming together.
Aside from my own updates in text, photo, and video formats, joining Fanhouse gives you access to the Housechat. This is a private group chat for anyone who joins my page. Fanhouse has a zero tolerance policy towards bullying, harassment, and scams, so it will be a safe place to hangout and talk. Joining also gives you access to direct messaging me if you ever wanted to reach out with a question or have a more direct discussion with me outside of the more public social media platforms.
